Relay · shared AI memory for ChatGPT, Claude & coding agentsPlan in one AI.
Build in another.
Relay gives ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and your coding agents one shared, private memory. Plan where you think best, build where you code best, and let every AI pick up exactly where the last one stopped. No copy-paste, no re-explaining.

Every AI is good at something.
None of them remember each other.
You already use more than one AI. Relay turns them into a team that shares one memory, instead of strangers you have to brief again and again.
Without Relay
- Copy a long plan out of ChatGPT and paste it into your coding tool
- Explain the project again every time you open a new chat
- Lose track of which AI did what, and what's left to do
- Preferences and decisions forgotten between tools
With Relay
- Say “save this to Relay”. The AI writes a clear handoff brief
- Any connected AI picks it up with “continue my latest plan”
- A board shows each piece of work and whose turn it is
- Tell one AI your preferences once; all of them know
Three steps. Then just talk to your AIs.
Relay works through MCP, the open standard AI apps use to connect to tools. There's nothing to install for ChatGPT or Claude.
- 1
Connect your AIs
Sign in with Google and create one private link per AI. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or your coding tool. Each AI gets its own key you can switch off any time.
About 2 minutes - 2
Save a handoff
When a plan is ready, say “save this to Relay”. Your AI writes a clear brief: the goal, decisions, open questions and next steps.
One sentence - 3
Pick it up anywhere
In another AI, say “pick up my latest plan from Relay”. It loads the brief, does the work, and reports back, so the next AI knows exactly where things stand.
Any AI, any time
No new app to learn. Just ask.
Relay adds a few simple tools to the AIs you already use. You talk normally; they save, find and update your shared memory.
Use each AI for what it does best
People use Relay to stop choosing one AI for everything.
Plan in chat, build in your editor
Think through a feature with ChatGPT or Claude, then let Claude Code, Cursor or Codex build it from the saved brief.
Research, then write
Gather sources in Perplexity, then write the article, report or proposal in Claude without pasting a thing.
Design, then ship
Prototype the screens in Lovable or v0, then hand the decisions to your coding agent to wire up the real thing.
Get a second opinion
Ask a different AI to review the work. It reads the plan and every update, and adds its review to the same thread.
One set of preferences
Your stack, your style, your rules. Say them once and every AI follows them, in every chat.
Pick up tomorrow
Close the laptop mid-task. Tomorrow, any AI can tell you where you left off and what's waiting for you.
Everything your AIs need to work as a team
A dashboard for you, and simple tools your AIs use on their own.
Handoff board: always know whose turn it is
Every piece of work moves from planning to building to review to done, and shows which AI it's waiting on. Your AIs update it as they work.
Shared memory
Tell any AI “remember that I prefer TypeScript” once, and every connected AI knows it.
Search by meaning
Find “the login work” even if it was saved as “authentication”. Smart search runs on Relay's own servers.
Projects
Group conversations and facts by what you're working on, and limit an AI to just the projects it needs.
Full activity trail
See every plan, progress update and review in order, with which AI wrote it and when.
Shortcuts
In Claude and Claude Code, ready-made shortcuts pick up, hand off and review work in one click.
Trash and download
Deleted items wait 30 days in the Trash. Download everything you've stored at any time.
Built to be trusted with your work
Relay runs on Google Cloud in Mumbai, India. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your memory to train AI models.
Your memory is yours alone
Each person's memory is stored separately. Admins see counts, never your conversations.
One key per AI
Read-only or read-and-write, limited to certain projects, and revocable in one click. Keys are stored scrambled.
Secrets removed automatically
API keys, tokens and passwords are stripped out before anything is saved.
Safe for AIs to read
Suspicious instructions hidden in saved text are flagged, and AIs are told to treat memory as data, not orders.
AIs ask before deleting
An AI can only delete what it created, only if you allow it, and only after you confirm.
Every change logged
An audit log shows which AI did what and when, so nothing happens behind your back.
Free while we're in beta
We're opening Relay to a small group first, so we can look after everyone properly.

Questions, answered
Which AI tools work with Relay?
Any AI app that supports MCP custom connectors. Relay has step-by-step guides for 25 tools: ChatGPT, Claude and Claude Code, Gemini (CLI, Code Assist, Android Studio), Grok, Perplexity, Le Chat, Manus, Lovable, Replit, Bolt.new, v0, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Visual Studio, JetBrains AI, Windsurf, Codex, Cline, Roo Code, Zed, Trae, OpenCode, Qwen Code and Kimi Code. Some apps only allow custom connectors on their paid plans. DeepSeek and the Kimi and Qwen chat websites don't support custom connectors yet.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor and many others support it. Relay is an MCP server: once you add its link to an AI, that AI gets a few memory tools (save, find, update, remember) and uses them when you ask.
Do I need to install anything?
No for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Lovable and Le Chat: you paste a link into their settings. Coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex take one command or a line of config, which the dashboard gives you ready to copy.
Do my AIs need to be open at the same time?
No. A handoff is saved in Relay, so the next AI can pick it up minutes or weeks later. Each AI also sees which AI did what, and what's waiting for whom.
Can other people see my memory?
No. Every account has its own separate memory. Only you and the AIs you connect with your keys can read it. Relay admins see account details and simple counts, never your conversations.
Does Relay read or train on my data?
No. Relay stores what your AIs save and gives it back to them. We don't sell data, show ads or train AI models on it. Once an AI reads your memory, that AI's own privacy policy applies.
Can an AI delete my things?
Only if you allow it. New AI keys can't delete at all; you can turn deleting on per key. Even then, an AI can only delete what it created, and it must ask you first. Anything deleted waits 30 days in the Trash.
What does it cost?
Relay is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll tell you well in advance, and you can always download your data.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Delete anything from the dashboard, download everything as a file, or ask us to close your account and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Stop copy-pasting between AIs.
Give them one memory, and let each one do what it's best at.
